A native of Stevenage, Rachael works locally for the Hertfordshire Music Service as an instrumental teacher, and is the Musical Director for two other choirs - Stevenage Singers (formerly the Choral Society) and Stevenage Men’s Choir (formerly Male Voice Choir), both since 2022
From 2004 - 2010, Rachael studied Saxophone at the Royal College of Music in London, graduating with a Masters of Music in Advanced Performance. After her Masters, she continued her studies at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, studying with Saxophonist Lars Mlekusch.
Whilst in Vienna, she performed with the Vienna Saxophonic Orchestra in 2011, and from 2007 to 2011 with the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra in the Benelux and Portugal. Once back in the UK, Rachael performed with OperaUpClose, in their 2013 production of Donizetti's The Elixir of Love (L'elisir d'amore), at the Kings Head Theatre in London. She performed further with this production in 2013 at the Holt Festival and in 2014 at the Ravenna Festival in Italy.

From 2013 - 2020, Rachael performed on board P&O Cruises, in the house band. Whilst working on ships, she started to work with and conduct the guest choirs, and thus her interest in singing and choirs began.

Guy Clark
Guy Clark – Accompanist, Stevenage Ladies Choir
Guy lives in Hitchin and joined the Stevenage Ladies Choir as an accompanist in 2000.
While studying music to A level, he was a member of local choirs and bands before pursuing a BMus degree at Sheffield University.
Guy regularly performs with his covers band at regional and national venues while accompanying the Stevenage Ladies at their weekly rehearsals. He studied piano under Kate Elmitt and is an accomplished self-taught organist, playing regularly in local church services.
Guy's extensive musical knowledge, loyalty and ability make him an invaluable asset to the Choir. His calm demeanour, along with his intuitive and supportive approach when working with different conductors, is a rare and commendable skill.
